Rainbow Six Siege Maps: Full List & Ranked Pool 2026

Complete list of Rainbow Six Siege maps, current ranked pool, tier list, and layout guide. Updated for Y11S1 with every map ranked and explained.

How many maps are in Rainbow Six Siege in 2026?

Rainbow Six Siege has 25 standard PvP maps plus 1 Dual Front-exclusive arena (District) as of Year 11, Season 1. The total count of Rainbow Six Siege maps has grown from 11 at launch in December 2015 to 26 in 2026, with Ubisoft adding new locations through seasonal Operations.
The full R6 maps list is split into 3 categories. Standard multiplayer locations appear across Quick Match, Unranked, and Ranked playlists — examples include Clubhouse, Oregon, and Consulate. These Arenas (House, Presidential Plane, Presidential Suite, Presidential Submarine, Presidential Helicopter, The Press Conference, Presidential Vessel, Presidential Train, Bartlett University, and the Presidential Battlecar) are also not in the Casual-only arenas and have been removed from competitive playlists due to balance issues. District and the Dual Front version of it are in their own dedicated mode and have objectives that are highly asymmetric to other modes.
The number of available R6 maps in Ranked specifically changes each season as Ubisoft rotates the competitive pool. The full roster, however, remains accessible through Quick Match and custom games.

Of the 27 entries in the current rotation, some of the old R6 maps, such as Bartlett University, have been absent from active playlists for multiple years, though the location remains in the game files. The yacht was briefly removed from all game modes and then re-added. Fort Truth and Neighborhood at casual were added in Year 9, along with their competitive counterpart. No official map has been removed from the game.
The Siege maps’ names are inspired by real-world locations across North America, Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. Each location has its own unique architecture and map layout, encouraging different styles of gameplay.

Which R6-ranked maps are in the pool in 2026?

The current R6-ranked maps for Year 11, Season 1 (Operation Silent Hunt) include 17 locations following the April 2026 mid-season expansion. The active competitive pool contains: Bank, Border, Chalet, Clubhouse, Consulate, Emerald Plains, Favela, Fortress, Kafe Dostoyevsky, Kanal, Lair, Nighthaven Labs, Oregon, Outback, Skyscraper, Stadium, and Theme Park.
Ubisoft restructured the competitive rotation with the Ranked 3.0 framework introduced in Year 11. The ban phase for Match Making now draws from three separate pools of R6 Siege maps. The spotlighted pool will include maps that we would like to highlight and showcase for upcoming showcase matches. The seasonal pool will add additional seasonal content to the ban phase to keep things fresh as we continue to add maps and modes to the game. Each team will still ban 5 maps, but they will come from these different pools, giving different importance to picks as frequently banned maps will come up less often, and more popular picks will come up more often due to frequency of play.
Bomb is the only game mode available in ranked Siege maps. Secure Area and Hostage are restricted to Quick Match. The pool of Siege-ranked maps changes at the start of each new Operation (roughly every 3 months), with mid-season adjustments now adding locations rather than removing them. The April 2026 Community Checkpoint update added 5 arenas to the rotation, increasing the total from 13 to 17.
Players looking to jump into Ranked with a competitive-ready profile can browse Rainbow Six Siege accounts on GG Chest. A pre-ranked setup with established MMR and operator unlocks eliminates the leveling requirement and places the player directly into competitive matches across all 17 locations in the current rotation.

Rainbow Six Siege Maps

What new Siege Maps and reworks arrived in 2025–2026?

Several new siege maps and major reworks reshaped the Rainbow Six Siege experience between 2025 and 2026. Ubisoft’s modernization program, destructibility overhaul, and competitive rebalancing delivered the largest batch of map updates since the game’s launch.

  • Modernization program: Several old R6 maps received visual modernization starting with the Siege X launch in Year 10 — Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe Dostoyevsky. All modernizations were done with an upgrade to 4K textures, improved lighting, and shadows. Season 3 included two more locations – Consulate, Nighthaven Labs, and Lair. Season 4 completed this wave of modernizations with two more locations – Theme Park and Skyscraper.
  • Fortress rework (December 2025): Fortress received a comprehensive design overhaul that restructured bomb site geometry, rotation paths, and vertical play options. Reworked from the classic map Fortress, the new competitive map titled Fortress: Rebuilt has been added for play in future seasons, and has been scheduled to premiere in the 2026 year of Team Fortress esports action. The new version of the popular map does not include Skyscraper, as it has been removed from the competitive line-up for the 2026 season and has been moved to a new recreational location in the remastered Fortress map family.
  • New additions: District launched as part of the latest Rainbow Six Siege new maps rollout, designed for the Dual Front mode introduced in Siege X. New destructible environmental objects, such as fire extinguishers, gas pipes, and metal detectors, can now be destroyed in many of our current maps, providing a new layer of strategy for both attackers and defenders. The iconic Tiberian location will hit Year 11 as a new siege map addition, titled Calypso Casino.

How does the Rainbow Six Siege map’s layout work?

Every Rainbow Six Siege map’s layout follows a multi-floor structure built around destructibility, bomb site placement, and entry point distribution. Understanding these 4 core layout elements is essential for competitive play at any rank.

  • Floor structure: Most maps feature 2–3 accessible floors plus a rooftop. Play destructively through the levels in Oregon, which features a full basement and reinforced hatches to the first floor. Tear through the Two play floors, the open rooftop, a three-story single-family villa with a basement wine cellar, or create your own battle scenes by blasting through floors and opening up hatches to fight enemies in new ways.
  • Destructibility: There are 3 different types of Walls in Rainbow Six Siege. Some Walls are Soft Walls that can be destroyed by Breaching Charges, a shotgun, or explosive, Reinforced Walls that require the skill of Hard-Breach Operators like Thermite, Hibana, or Ace to destroy, and then indestructible Walls that offer plenty of permanent cover for all Operators. Siege map Clubhouse offers a lot of cross-floor destructibility with 14 breakable hatches. The soft density of the surfaces also offers plenty of new rotations and sightlines.
  • Bomb sites: Each map contains 3–4 bomb site pairs — 2 adjacent rooms that attackers must reach and defend long enough to plant and detonate the defuser. Site selection rotates each round. Competitive viability depends on how many of these sites are balanced for both sides. Clubhouse and Oregon have 4 viable sites each, while some maps like Tower have only 1–2 playable configurations at higher ranks.
  • Callout zones and entry points: Every room and corridor on a Siege map’s layout has a community-established callout name used for team communication. Entry points include doorways, windows, rappel access points, and roof hatches. Maps with more entry points (such as Coastline with its open balcony access) tend to favor attackers, while maps with limited external access (such as Fortress with its narrow corridors) favor defenders.
Interactive R6 maps blueprints with floor-by-floor views are available on community tools like R6Maps.com, which display camera positions, bomb site locations, and destructible surfaces for each level.

What is the best R6 Maps tier list for 2026?

The current maps tier list for 2026 ranks all competitive maps based on 4 criteria: Bomb site balance (how many sites are viable at high ranks), destructibility options (vertical and horizontal play potential), attacker-defender win rate parity, and competitive esports presence (has the map remained in the professional map pool consistently).
These rankings are based on the community’s collective opinion, professional analysts, tracked numbers from siege.gg, and the rates at which champions are played at high-level competitive matches. The highest champion’s tier reflects the overall balance and strategic depth of locations throughout the game.

Which maps are S-Tier in Rainbow Six Siege?

Based on the current R6 maps tier list, the following maps stand out in each category. Clubhouse and Oregon occupy S-tier as the 2 most consistently balanced maps in the game’s history. Clubhouse has remained in the professional map pool since 2015 without removal. Bombs are placed on every level of the map, and the hatch is fully playable for vertical action. “Hatch” is a very balanced map. The difference in win rate for attackers and defenders is at most 2%, which makes for a very competitive and intense match. Oregon is one of the most selected maps in international esports competition, and all 4 locations have very viable and unique vertical gameplay. The lowest point of this is from the basement all the way to the second floor.

Which maps are A-Tier?

Chalet, Kafe Dostoyevsky, Bank, and Consulate rank in A-tier among all Rainbow Six Siege maps. Chalet’s Year 5 rework resolved longstanding site imbalances, producing 3 strong bomb sites and making it one of the most played maps in Ranked and professional matches. With roaming defenders, Kafe Dostoyevsky has long corridors and multiple flanking positions on 3 levels. Bank is a strong vertical map with a skylight and multiple hatches connecting the office and the basement. Consulate is a bit attacker-sided with all the window positions, but has some interesting play in the garage wall and basement control dynamics.

Which maps are B-Tier?

Coastline, Border, Villa, and Skyscraper fall into B-tier. Coastline is popular at mid-ranks for its clean layout but leans attacker-sided due to extensive balcony and rooftop access. The ground level of Border is relatively simple, making it less viable for higher rank players(Diamond and Champion) to play on. It’s a decent map for new players to get familiarized with, though. Villa is a very defender-biased map with only 1-2 soft spots that experienced teams can get circles on. Skyscraper looks awful after the Year 10 visual updates. It tried to look more modern, but it only highlights how terrible the original design is and how the standard predicted attacker pathing works on it.

Which maps fall in C-Tier and Below?

These maps all sit in C-tier or below. Tower is a classic, linear R6 map with very little vertical destruction, which greatly limits the strategic depth required for competitive play, and is therefore one of the worst maps. Bartlett University is a map that was removed from active playlists in Year 2 due to an unrecoverable attacker-defender skill imbalance. Presidential Plane is a unique map with a long fuselage; however, it has very little to no destructibility. Hereford Base received a full rework in Year 3 that was poorly received by the community — the redesign removed the original’s vertical charm without improving competitive viability.
Tier rankings pair directly with operator selection. The best siege maps reward players who understand which operators counter each site’s geometry. Overall, the R6 maps tier list reflects how balance, destructibility, and competitive viability shape the current meta. See the Rainbow Six Siege Operator Tier List for current meta picks on each map.

Are Rainbow Six Siege maps attacker-sided or defender-sided?

Most R6 maps have a slight defender advantage due to the structural nature of bomb defense — defenders choose positions first and control reinforcements. However, several locations lean noticeably toward one side based on layout geometry, entry point density, and site anchor strength.

  • Attacker-sided environments: Consulate, Coastline, and Border feature open layouts with abundant external access points (windows, balconies, skylights) that give attackers strong sightline control. These arenas reward aggressive utility usage and coordinated entry. Win rate data from siege.gg consistently shows attacker advantage on these 3 locations across Platinum and higher ranks.
  • Defender-sided environments: Villa, Theme Park, and Fortress map types are biased towards defenders, providing them with short rotation points, minimal access points for intruders, and strong anchor positions near bomb sites.
  • Balanced locations: Clubhouse, Oregon, and Kafe Dostoyevsky maintain near-even win rates across all ranks. These environments provide enough destructibility and entry options for attackers while offering defenders adequate rotation paths and anchor positions. Their balance is reflected in consistent esports tournament selection rates.

Understanding directional bias helps refine ban strategy in Ranked. When playing as an aggressive team, banning defensive locations helps increase the chances of a win, as does banning attacking locations when playing for defence. This strategy could be applied across the entirety of the match day to continually raise the percentage of victories achieved. The Rainbow Six Siege maps list continues to grow as Ubisoft adds new maps, reworks older ones, and rotates playlists each season.

Frequently asked questions about R6 maps

How often does the R6-ranked map pool change?

The pool of ranked maps in Siege changes at the start of each new Operation, roughly every 3 months. However, mid-season rotations do occur, with the latest April 2026 Y11S1 Community Checkpoint update introducing 5 new locations in a single mid-season shuffle. With the Ranked 3.0 system in place, player ban data is taken into account for which arenas will appear less frequently between rotation updates.

Can you pick maps in Rainbow Six Siege?

No. Players cannot directly select maps in Ranked or Unranked playlists. The Ranked 3.0 ban system allows each team to remove 3 maps from the competitive pool that they will not play during the ban phase, in addition to 3 maps from the showcased pool and 3 from the seasonal pool. The remainder of the maps will be chosen by the game as the match map. In Quick Match, maps are chosen from the full casual pool without a ban phase.

What maps were removed from Rainbow Six Siege?

No official location has ever been permanently deleted from the game. For a brief moment, Bartlett University was deleted from the game, but it has since been re-enabled for all players. The last time Bartlett University was played was several years ago. This map is still currently in the game, and you can play on it in custom games still. Also, House, Presidential Plane, and Tower are excluded from Ranked match play, meaning they do not appear in all Siege ranked maps but remain available in Quick Match.

What is the biggest map in Rainbow Six Siege?

Fortress and Villa are among the largest environments, featuring extensive room counts, long rotation paths, and 3 accessible floors each. The house is a 2-floor tiny space, it’s the smallest arena on the map. Compared to the larger locations where defenders with the advantage of long rotation distance show best results, tiny spaces give advantage to faster and more aggressive builds that give fast and intense counter-attacks in the short term, aiming to end the round in a matter of seconds.

Are R6 Siege maps based on real-life locations?

Yes. Many R6 maps in real life draw inspiration from actual locations and historical events. Oregon is modeled after the Mount Carmel compound associated with the 1993 Waco siege. Consulate references the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege in London. Kafe Dostoyevsky takes architectural cues from Café Pushkin in Moscow. Coastline is set in Ibiza, Spain, and Villa is based on Italian countryside estates. Ubisoft’s design team researches real buildings and environments to create architecturally plausible floor plans with accurate regional aesthetics.

Are night maps coming cack to Rainbow Six Siege?

No. Ubisoft removed night maps from Ranked in late 2018 and from Quick Match in September 2019 with Operation Ember Rise. R6 night maps created a visibility imbalance — attackers could see inside buildings through windows while defenders faced pitch-black exteriors. We’re not seeing Ubisoft bring back the night maps of years past as we hit Year 11 (2026). The community has been asking for them to return, but the gameplay dynamics just aren’t there to support something like that without a new lighting system in place.
