Why Is the Crow So Rare in Adopt Me?
The Crow is a Legendary rarity pet, the highest tier in Adopt Me's classification system. But its actual scarcity in 2026 goes beyond that classification because of a specific combination of factors.
The Farm Egg is permanently retired. The Crow was released on November 22, 2019 as part of the Farm Egg, which cost 750 Bucks in the Gumball Machine. The Farm Egg was replaced by the Aussie Egg on February 29, 2020, and no new Farm Eggs have been sold since. Every Crow in circulation today came from a Farm Egg hatched during that three-month window.
Below-average Legendary hatch rate. Even during the Farm Egg's active window, the Crow had only a 1.5% hatch rate, which is lower than most Legendaries. The Farm Egg had two Legendaries total (Crow and Owl), with a combined 3% Legendary chance split between them. Players who specifically wanted a Crow often had to hatch dozens of Farm Eggs before landing one, which meant even during availability, Crows were far from common.
Neon and Mega Neon multiplication. Creating a Neon Crow requires combining four fully-grown Regular Crows in the Neon Cave. Mega Neon requires four fully-grown Neons, meaning 16 original Crows total. That's 16 Legendary pets from a 1.5% hatch rate egg that hasn't existed in the shop for over five years. Mega Neon Crows are exceptionally scarce because very few players managed to acquire enough Farm Egg Crows to complete two full Neon combinations before the egg was retired.
The Crow trades slightly below the Owl in most community value guides but sits firmly in the top tier of retired Legendaries. Trading and marketplace purchases are the only realistic paths to obtaining one in 2026.
