What Bat Dragon Variants Can You Buy?
The Bat Dragon family has grown well beyond the original release. There are now four distinct versions of the pet, each with its own theme and event origin. Every variant is available in Regular, Neon, and Mega Neon forms, and each of those can also carry Fly and Ride potions:
- Bat Dragon: the original, released during the Halloween Event 2019 for 180 Halloween Candy. Light brown body with black-and-red curved wings, orange horns, and small fangs. This is the version that started the entire lineage and remains the most iconic Bat Dragon in Adopt Me.
- Strawberry Shortcake Bat Dragon: released December 1, 2022 during the Winter Event 2022, cost 1,000 Robux at the time. Features a beige body with whipped cream horns, strawberry ears, brown freckles, and a strawberry-tipped tail. A dessert-themed reskin that quickly became a fan favorite.
- Chocolate Chip Bat Dragon: released November 30, 2023 during the Winter Festival 2023 for 1,000 Robux. Cookie-inspired design with chocolate-chip patterns across its body. Sits in the same trade tier as the Strawberry Shortcake variant.
- Fairy Bat Dragon: the whimsical fantasy-themed variant, with enchanting design details that set it apart from the other three. Popular with collectors who lean toward magical or fantasy aesthetics.
Each variant scales through the same progression system. The Regular form is the base, Neon requires four fully-grown Regulars combined in the Neon Cave, and Mega Neon requires four fully-grown Neons (16 originals total). Neon versions add colored glowing accents to the pet's key features, and Mega Neon versions cycle those accents through rainbow colors.
How Rare Is the Bat Dragon in Adopt Me?
The Bat Dragon is a Legendary rarity pet, the highest tier in Adopt Me's classification system. But its practical rarity in 2026 goes beyond its Legendary status because none of the four variants are currently obtainable through in-game methods.
The original Bat Dragon was only available during Halloween 2019, a window of a few weeks in October and early November of that year. Every Bat Dragon in circulation today comes from that specific event window, and no new ones have entered the ecosystem in over six years. The Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Chip, and Fairy variants each had similarly limited event windows during their respective releases, and none have returned to the shop since.
That fixed supply combined with a much larger active player base than in 2019 keeps demand consistently high. Mega Neon variants of any Bat Dragon are especially rare, since creating one required a player to acquire 16 identical Bat Dragons during or shortly after the original event window and then complete two full Neon Cave combinations.
The only realistic paths to any Bat Dragon variant in 2026 are trading with other players in-game or buying through a verified marketplace like GG Chest.
